Pro 52/53 virtual instrument tutorial

This Pro 53 tutorial replaces the older version of Pro 52.

Pro 53 is a software synthesizer. It integrates with Cubase and allows you to choose from a huge range of sounds that play from your midi data.

Virtual instruments (like Pro 53) let you create music with nothing but your PC. Cubase VST is developing as a tool for music creation every day as new virtual instruments are released.

I've had Pro 52 for a while and think it's a great tool for music production. It has a huge range of sounds and it is so easy to use. The updated version of it, Pro-53, is a great step up as well.

If you want to add some high quality synth sounds easily then I recommend you get this program. Simply click here.

Let's start this guide by looking at the screen that pops up in Cubase when you load the software by clicking panels>virtual instruments>Pro 53.

You load in the patches using the drop down box marked by the red arrow. Pro 53 comes with a huge list of patches that have wildly different sounds. Each patch can also be heavily modified using all the standard synth nobs.

To sequence the midi notes to get this synth working simply set the output of any midi channel to Pro 53.

Sound synthesis is a complex thing that I don't understand fully enough to explain to you. I cannot explain how to be creative but I always spend a lot of time fiddling with all the controls until I'm happy.

I've used some other virtual synths and Pro 52 rates highly in comparison, version Pro-53 just carries that high recommendation even further. The wide range of sounds and phat bass patches make this a great addition to your computer set-up.

It's much faster than using external gear and doesn't cost nearly as much, that is if you can even find a real Prophet 5 synth.
