Ask a DJ

This is the new and improved "Ask a DJ" page.

I'd like to invite you to participate in this discussion. I get really great questions frequently from new DJs. But I can't know everything about how to DJ, so I won't pretend that I do.

If you see a question here that you can answer, please jump in.

And if you have a question you'd like to ask an experienced DJ, please ask.

Rules of Engagement

  • Don't slam anyone. Let's just assume that they're asking a perfectly good question. You'll look smart by answering well with a good, detailed answer.

  • This isn't a self promotion area (please go to DJ Craze if you want to share details on your DJ biz.

  • Remember, give respect, get respect.

I don't DJ that often these days I like to leave it to younger, hungrier dudes.

I am getting older and at 25 I want to DJ less now and concentrate on dance music production. I think I would like to cut some tracks to vinyl this year.

I have finished my Honours Degree and now I have a job making websites, this is one of them!

Take care and warmest regards to those DJs out there.
