Cubase is powerful, but confusing

by Katori
(Georgia)

I got a copy of Cubase with my new mixer recently and found it to be very...interesting. The manual (or at least the one I got with it) was thin and unhelpful for someone unexperienced, although I got around it pretty well. The program seems to not work when I need it to, with the ASIO drivers not really working at all for me on the first time. In my opinion, its Vista compatibility is suspect.

All in all I just couldn't wrap my head around it, it just didn't work like it was supposed to for me. I think it needs a massive interface and behind-the-scenes overhaul.

Perhaps the program is powerful, but in a few days I gave it up for Cakewalk The Ultimate Synth Rack and Adobe Audition 3 for Windows.
